PROJECT : Il Bracco | Interior Design | Michael Hsu Office of Architecture | 2021

DESCRIPTION : Il Bracco is a restaurant renovation project located in the heart of Houston, TX. With one other Il Bracco location in Dallas, the client was looking to expand to Houston. The concept for this project referenced post modern Italian design with strong references to Milan and Gio Ponti. The palette is dark and moody, with dramatic syrup-y lighting, and we utilized materials such as travertine, tambour wood, and multiple different stones/marbles to give a subtle nod to modern Italy. The kitchen is front and center in this space, emphasizing the cooking process as a focal point within the restaurant. The bar is a central focal point for travelers and locals alike. My role on this project involved designing all interior elements and producing renderings for all interior spaces, as well as creating all interior construction documents and seeing the project through construction administration.
