PROJECT: Aspen Hotel | Interior Design | Lambert Mcguire Design | 2022

DESCRIPTION: A renovation of an existing hotel located in Aspen, Colorado. The Chalet’s existing structure and charm excited us throughout the design and rendering process of the project. Lake Flato is the design architect for this project with Lambert Mcguire leading the interior design effort. I was an interior designer staffed on this project focusing primarily on the guestrooms and the members only club. All renderings and design shown here were created by Stephanie Betesh prior to starting Ember Studio. The concept of the guestrooms revolved around the idea of a ship-like, hyperfunctional and cozy experience with wood paneled walls and millwork surrounding the entire room. An eclectic carpet pattern complements the simple wood surrounding it. Storage is built in wherever possible and the room is centered on a tiled fireplace. For the members only club, the concept revolved around a lively and vibrant bar, club, and event space that embodies both a retro and futuristic attitude. The design follows a relatively monochromatic palette, creating richness through a layering of textures and materials. Patterned carpet, stained wood, reflective brass, red marble, plaster, and lacquer work together to create a whimsical, warm, and romantic experience.
