PROJECT : Beacon Hill Hotel | Interior Design | Parts and Labor Design NYC | 2019

DESCRIPTION : Upon being promoted to project manager at PLD, my first project was the Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro, a 14 room hotel located in the quaint and historic neighborhood of Beacon Hill in Boston. The concept for this hotel focused on a feeling of home within the hotel, reflecting the domestic characteristics, warmth, and comfort of a traditional townhouse. Some of the brand pillars and behaviors include authenticity, quality and craftsmanship, generosity and warmth, sensory experiences and discovery and storytelling. Our design began with the guestrooms, with each room having an individual and unique quality inspired by the eclecticism found within the traditional home. A spirit of generosity is conveyed through the quality and collected design aesthetic. For this reason, we chose to combine custom pieces with purchased and found or antique pieces and objects. Additionally, each room will hold a curated selection of items from the hotel offerings and neighborhood-- freshly cut flowers, chocolates, local liquor supplies, and snacks.
